Palletizing and depalletizing

Move finished cases onto pallets and feed containers into your line with equipment selected for your package, speed and available floor space.

Palletizers

Robotic and gantry systems stack cases, trays, shrink bundles and other finished packs into stable pallet patterns.

Robotic palletizers

A robot picks packs from the infeed and places them on the pallet. Grippers and saved patterns can be specified for different pack sizes, pallet layouts and production requirements.

  • Flexible patterns and mixed pack formats
  • Single or multiple infeed configurations
  • Optional automatic pallet and slip-sheet handling

Gantry palletizers

A bridge-mounted pick head moves across the pallet area to place packs in programmed positions. Gantry layouts can serve multiple pallet positions within a defined footprint.

  • Programmed layer patterns
  • Overhead access to the pallet positions
  • Integration with case conveyors and stretch wrappers

We select the gripper, pattern and infeed around your actual case or bundle, pallet size and required throughput.

Depalletizers

Low-level and high-level depalletizers remove containers or packs from incoming pallets and feed them into the production line.

High-level depalletizer with access platform, pallet conveyors and elevated discharge conveyor

Low-level depalletizers

Layers are brought down to a lower discharge elevation before containers transfer onto the line. This arrangement can simplify access for operators and downstream conveyors.

High-level depalletizers

Layers transfer at an elevated discharge point and descend through the conveyor system. This arrangement can suit layouts that need overhead routing or a higher discharge elevation.

For either style, the layout must account for pallet handling, layer and tier-sheet removal, container stability and the required discharge speed.
